Matthew Algie unveils new Italian coffee range

Matthew Algie, Scotland’s largest coffee roastery, has officially unveiled its newest coffee range – Piacetto.
The Italian coffee blend, available in the UK for several years under Tchibo Coffee, is now part of the Matthew Algie family and has been relaunched at the annual Caffè Culture event in London.
The coffee has been developed with world-renowned Italian barista Graziano Chessa to create three premium blends. Each coffee blend makes the perfect harmony of flavours and aromas that only a true Italian coffee expert can produce. Selected exclusively from the finest beans, sustainably sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms and sealed with long-lasting freshness and consistently incredible taste.
The name Piacetto comes from the Italian word ‘Piacere’, meaning a small moment of joy or pleasure. It is known as La Selezione Barista – the Barista’s Choice.
Piacetto counts the Hilton as one of its largest clients, with the brand being sold across its UK portfolio.
Paul Chadderton, Managing Director of Matthew Algie, said: “Piacetto is a coffee designed by baristas for baristas. Its consistently high quality comes from using only the finest coffee beans, exclusively sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified farms.
“Our relaunch at Caffè Culture this year is the beginning of our new focus on the product line, which will accompany new collateral, marketing and industry insight to help our client base grow their sales.
“The growth in coffee is opening up new opportunities for businesses. Piacetto, combined with our service package, offers our clients the perfect gateway to maximising your returns on coffee sales.
“We are very excited about this brand and how we can help even more clients grow their coffee business”.
